Congregational Care

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” Matthew 25:35-36

There are three specific ways our congregation provides care:

1. Pastoral Care: In addition to the pastoral care our pastor provides in special times of need, the Pastoral Care Team responds to Christ’s call to care for others by providing assistance to the pastor for care needs in our congregation. As they become aware of needs within our church family, they reach out in Christ’s love to individuals experiencing a wide range of life challenges and circumstances. It’s an exciting, vibrant process that involves the entire church community in this circle of caring!

2. Simply Caring: This is a ministry of the whole congregation where everyone in our church is connected to a Simply Caring friend who sends them cards for different occasions and prays for them in times of special need.

3. Deacon Friends: Our deacons keep track of those with special needs or who are home bound. They send them cards and gifts around Christmas. They also pray for them and making other caring contacts.
