Music

We take the call of Psalm 100 to make a joyful noise to Lord to heart at First Presbyterian Church. We know that music is a great way to worship God because it speaks to the depths of our being. We value tradition, diversity and innovation in our music ministry. Join us for one or all of the following opportunities.

Sanctuary Choir: This is our adult choir. They meet every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. for a one-hour practice in the chapel and sanctuary. They sing a variety of pieces and offer a special anthem during worship every Sunday during the school year.

Joyful Ringers Handbell Choir: This group meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. for a practice of different pieces for handbells. They offer music periodically during worship.

Westminster SingersMiddle and High School Youth gather after worship on Sundays for half an hour of practice and present their music in worship when they have a piece ready.

Joyful Noise: Preschool and elementary age children meet on Fridays at 4:15 p.m. for a twenty-minute energizing practice of music which they present in regular worship every six or eight weeks during the school year.
